You will remember from the AONE Guiding Principles that political activism for social justice is a vital role of the healthcare leader.
Write a letter to your state representative about a current healthcare issue.
Include the following aspects in the discussion:
- Locate the name of your local representative from your district using the U.S. House of Representatives web site
- Review their webpage and current legislation introduced
- Write a one page, single-spaced formal letter on a current healthcare issue
- Attach the letter to your discussion post (sending the letter is up to you)
- Discuss your letter, how it felt to write it, and why you chose the topic you did
