Does the organization your work for promote a “quality culture”? If so, how? If not, how would it improve quality? Give examples.

Quality is a vital aspect of the company I work at. The company keeps striving to build a quality culture within the organization to ensure that every employee within the organization works toward the achievement of a common goal. To achieve this, the company has employed various strategies that keep reminding the workforce what they ought to do. For instance, the company has defined and outlined company values and made them within reach of all stakeholders to act as a guide when approaching the company affairs (Speer, 2019).

Currently, I work at Apple Inc. Apple’s corporate culture is built on top-notch excellence, creativity, innovation, secrecy, and moderate combativeness (Meyer, 2019). The company only hires the best of the best in the labor market to ensure top-notch excellence. Apple’s management encourages creativity among employees’ skills, knowledge, and abilities the ensure creativity. The company is renowned for its rapid innovation to introduce new products. Secrecy is upheld to protect proprietary information or intellectual property (Meyer, 2019).

Employee training to make them well aware of the company quality culture is regularly done to ensure they are all updated and embrace it. Apple has set policies that guide its operations and also complies with quality compliance regulations such as those of ISO to ensure the development of quality assured products and services (Meyer, 2019). However, the workforce is trained to understand that the only goal they ought to reach is the highest quality in the market, making it to pursue quality rather than compliance with the regulations and policies. Apple has built a reputation even among customers that it can only produce the best quality products and nothing else, hence it’s market dominance (Speer, 2019).
