Reflection On Achievement of Outcome

The class has been an eye-opening one regarding the role of nurses in healthcare politics and health policy. The topics studied throughout the course have been fantastic and educative at the same time. This Course offered much useful information regarding how to make informed decisions about patient outcomes and nursing practice on a global level. In this cause, I learned how healthcare policy is crucial in implementing change in the healthcare system. Universal healthcare is an important example of global advocacy (Berwick et al., 2018). Universal health coverage is now a global issue as countries across the globe are struggling to make it a policy. To make an informed decision on a global level, it is important to remain updated with current knowledge and skills. Nurses must always have the patient in mind for them to make informed decisions at the global level (Berwick et al., 2018). Nurses can also make informed decisions by joining healthcare organizations or groups, reaching out to policymakers, and using their right to vote.

I will apply this information in the next practicum to enhance decision-making processes and patient outcomes. I will ensure I do my best in my capacity to influence positive health care policies to improve patient care (Berwick et al., 2018). Also, I will put patients in my mind always by giving them priority to ensure positive patient outcomes. Additionally, I will keep updated with current information and skills to ensure that decisions made are informed (Berwick et al., 2018). By applying the knowledge, I will have a fantastic, more accurate, and well-informed practicum experience.
