Course Project: Rough Draft Instructions

You will begin the task of creating a correctional facility that will be presented via PowerPoint. The presentation must have at least 5 slides, and it will provide a snapshot of the correctional facility that will be further developed for the Course Project: Final.

The following must be included in the Rough Draft via PowerPoint slides:

· Type of facility that will be constructed

· Identification of possible programs that will be implemented in the facility

· Approximation of the total budget for the operation of the facility

· Identification of at least 2 sources that will be used for the Course Project: Final

· At least 5 slides, including the title slide

Submit the Course Project: Rough Draft by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 5.

Course Project: Final Instructions

The Course Project: Final will be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation of at least 10 informational slides, not including the title slide or the reference slide.

The following must be included in the Final via PowerPoint slides:

· Specific Slide Requirements

o Title slide with student name

o Background on the slides that is appropriate for the audience

o Numerous examples of pictures/graphic art

o At least 10 informational slides

o Reference slide with at least 5 sources in current APA format (Sources must be scholarly, reliable and relevant to the topic, and current to within the last 7 years.)

o Location

o Type of facility (jail/prison, rehabilitative, medical, etc.)

o Size (number of floors, number of rooms, etc.)

o Design (interior and exterior)

· Staffing

o Staffing categories

o Necessary manpower

o Staff hierarchy (chain of command)

· Resources

o Types of resources/programs to be available

o Privileges available

o Correctional goals met through resources

· Budget

o Located at the end of the presentation

o Develop a necessary yearly budget to effectively operate the institution
